Literary Bootcamps at Revision Village provide the background, passage analysis, and detailed analysis of the most frequently taught literary texts in the IB English A LAL course. They are designed to provide exceptional study materials so students can master the assessments. Working systematically through these bootcamps will ensure students have firm command of course material and can succeed in the course.

We recommend you follow the Literary Bootcamps sequentially and in chronological order. Start with the introduction to get an overview of the text. Next, work through the flashcards and multiple choice questions to solidify your understanding. Finally, work through the IO and/or Paper 2 sections when it is time for you to prepare for the assessments. Completing the final assessments of the Literary Bootcamps and checking your responses against the sample answers is a great way to identify gaps in your learning and areas for further revision.

Literary Bootcamps are excellent review for passage analysis and answering the difficult questions that often comprise Paper 2. They are not a substitute for reading the literary works. Rather, they are meant as supplementary materials to help students master the content that frequently shows up on assessments.

Revision Village is committed to adding to the current repository of literary texts available. We have started with the most frequently taught texts and will continue adding to the library in the coming weeks, months, and years. It is our goal that all students will be able to access at least one Literary Bootcamp for a text they are studying in class.
