Practice Exams

Revision Village offers Mock Exams and Prediction Exams for English A LAL students. The focus of these exams is on Paper 1 and Paper 2. Students looking for Individual Oral or Higher Level Essay support should refer to the Literary and Assessment Bootcamps.

Mock exams are just that - practice exams that have been carefully designed by Senior IB Examiners to reflect the skills and knowledge that mirror actual exams. While these assessments are not created by the IB, they mimic the actual exam experience. Students completing mock exams will be well prepared for both Paper 1 and Paper 2.

Prediction exams are written by Senior IB Examiners and provide a glimpse into what might appear on the actual exams. Text type, difficulty, and length of text have been carefully considered for Paper 1, and sample questions for Paper 2 follow the standard structure and form one can expect in the real assessment.

Students should attempt the exams independently of the video solutions and sample answers. Once the students have crafted their own responses, they may check their work and compare to the sample responses written by the RV English Team. Students should identify what they did well, as well as areas for improvement. Students may then attempt additional practice in the Questionbank or Past Paper sections of the platform.
